Well, folks – your favorite little freelance website has moved hosts. Sort of.

We’re still with MediaTemple (and they’re o.k.) but we’ve moved from a GS to a dedicated box. You should see much quicker loads and a little more oomph.

In this move, we learned one thing – complain and whine enough, and people will give you free stuff. Just remember that the next time you have to deal with poor service.

I’m back on the horse. I can sit by no longer, letting a great tool like this lie fallow.

I’m back to blogging, back to cutting up, back to making fun of everything I do, see and enjoy.

So – expect more from All About Freelance. It will be all about freelance. It’ll also be more. More humor. More bad design. More absurd, pointless ramblings about things that make absolutely no sense and have very little reason for being said.

My solemn promise: Blog more. At least a couple times a week.

Welcome back to your regularly scheduled slice of the freelance life. Hope you dig.

I know – I’ve extolled the virtues of blogging…

Then I disappear for a few months. But – I’ve been storing up some new thoughts, some new strategies and some big things that we have in store for your favorite little freelanching design tips and thoughts site!

First up – updates! Daily, weekly, monthly updates with more juicy goodies and hints and helps and warm fuzzies.

Secondly – guest writers! I’ve lined up a bunch of experts on the freelancing lifestyle. We’ll have project managers, full-time bloggers, freelance writers, crusty old ad men and kids just breaking in that will pop in, add tips, questions and all sorts of good stuff to help you on the road to riches. Or, at least on the road to keeping the light bill paid.

Thirdly – a little new direction. I’ll be focusing more on the art and psychology of design. Maybe a little less on the day-to-day operations of a freelance agency.

So there – an update. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Well, I suppose it’s finally time that I got off my duff and made a new, custom site, being that I am a designer and all.

New AllAboutFreelance look coming at you – and totally smoothed out by April 1.

Success as a Freelance Designer can mean not having a lot of time to do other things – family, friends and blogging can suffer.

I’ve been a little lax about the blogging this week, as I’ve been bombarded with work – which is a good thing. Lots of magazine layout, lots of logos, lots of packaging. I need to hire a secretary. Or take a nap. Something…

But, I’m getting it squared away and manageable, so I’ll be back on the pony.
